- Which option did you choose?
-
- Biomimicry
- Why did you choose it? What interest you?
- Biomimicry was chosen because I am a firm believer that the earth give us all we need to survive and evolve. Biomimicry not only shows us what to do giving us a blueprint but it also shows us how this method has been tested and holds true to the blue print by just implementing its own blue print day after day. We can already see Biomimicry inspired technology all around us. Just taking a look at the sky you will see airplanes are a great example of biomimicry that gave humans access to fly with the birds. Taking a look at the sea, you will see submarines that allow us to voyage the depths of the oceans alongside of Killer Whales. Biomimicry has been a part of our successful creation of technology for many decades now and because of its massive influences of things we have gotten right, it piqued my interest. Biomimicry has literally been a part of some of our greatest technological advances in human history. A few other things that were inspired from research in biomimicry is:
- Bullet trains inspired by Kingfisher birds
- Wind turbines modeled after Humpback whales
- Antimicrobial film mimicking sharkskin
- Harvesting water like the Stenocara beetle
- Absorbing shock like a woodpecker
- Cephalopod camouflage
- Ventilation systems inspired by termites
- Do you plan on writing a blog or an essay?
- I never like to leave points on the table to I think I will go with the blog. I have never did a blog before and I have a feeling that it will be something I really like. I love to talk so it seems like a good fit for me. It is a way to break into a new venture and profiting from the journey in experiment and in grade.

- What do you think about rationale.com?
- My research with rationale and reviewing the videos was a positive outlook on the application. I have the free version and may end up paying for the full version but I’m holding off on that to make a final decision. The program seems like a great new process of essay writing. It seems like it will help the writing from having unnecessary or filler items in their essay. It helps you break down the main points in your essay to keep on your task and focused on the goal of the writing piece. I am interesting in learning more about it and I’m ready and willing to dive in and more with it. It has to be great since it reminds me of my new best friend Plectica.

Fantastic work, Anthony! Can you post your map in our Facebook group?
Anthony,
I love your philosophy on the earth and life and its patterns and structures. Its really humbling to think about, really.
You seem to be passionate about the topic, so I think you will do well with this project.
Good luck!
Chris
Anthony,
Nice ideas! I also thought a blog would be best to not feel limited when getting our ideas out.
