Nathan Dooley
Are you a graduate student? If no, what year? i.e. Junior, Senior, etc.
I am not a graduate student, I am a Senior going through the Newly established Health and Human Performance Bachelor Degree Program online.
Why did you enroll in this class?
1.) I work in a Physical Therapy Clinic and am very interested in the administration side of things.
2.) I am previously taken a course from Dr. Jamie Schwandt and all though it started out confusing and a little frustrating, it has been the most influencial/enjoyable course I have experienced.
3.) Also I would like to see how things go now that I know what to expect and maybe share some insight as to how things go once Swarm Learning becomes main stream.
What are your initial thoughts?
YYEEEESSSSSSSS! The same professor I had last semester has a course over a topic I am really considering getting into.
Serious note: Since the first go around it has brought many perspectives to my attention and since I am more introvert I thought maybe I can step out of my comfort zone and help with the trials of Swarm Learning. I also just really enjoy this teaching style.

Thanks, Nathan! Glad to have you as a student again!
Hi Nathan,
I too worked in a physical therapy clinic as a PT aide in which I was able to work with a wide variety of patients from all walks of life. This was so rewarding although the fast-pace took getting used to because phones and administrative work came into play for the one in which there was understaffing. Yikes! However, it is where I truly did become passionate about helping with the patient experience in whatever capacity I could as an aide, and now I aim to just become more educated in anyway that I can as far as the administrative side goes of healthcare settings.
I can also relate in terms of it taking me a while to understand the class dynamic for this first assignment but it seems very interesting and I look forward to it!
Hi Nathan – Dr. Schwandt suggested I take a look at your post to alleviate some of my fears. I’m glad to see that you have found the learning method to be an enjoyable experience. I am looking forward to a change from the typical online classes and I hope I feel the same as you at the end of the semester. Good luck to you!
