It is well organized and gives a nice overview of the problem along with up-to-date research on pressure ulcers as well as information on what we as nurses can do to prevent this condition. This is a real and current issue in nursing, and I appreciate the research you did.
I like the concluding sentence in your poster, “Assessments, diagnosis, planning, implementation of care, and evaluation are processes that should be ongoing to promote precautionary measures for pressure ulcers.” These are all ideas that nurses should think about as we care for patients.
Thank you for the great response! In the facility I work, we are trying to use different ways to prevent pressure ulcers. Most of the patients we admit are coming from surgery. The first few days after surgery most of them are in pain, therefore, they are not able to move easily while in bed. At this time, there is a high risk of getting pressure ulcers
