My name is Jasmine and I have been a nurse for a little over 4 years. I have worked as a school nurse, OR nurse and a clinic nurse. I have made my way back to working as a school nurse. Research plays an important part in all aspects of nursing. Nursing practices are always advancing and there are sometimes more efficient ways of completing a nursing task. Research can show better nursing interventions for students that have chronic absenteeism or for students with chronic health problems. The way students get screened in the school setting constantly change so health issues are not missed and can properly addressed.

Good luck in the course Jasmine. It sounds like you have a diverse background. I am an OR nurse, I have worked in other areas, and have realized that my heart is in perioperative nursing. I completely agree with you that research does play such an important roll in every aspect of nursing.
