With the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to make some changes to our original research topic in order to have enough data. However, we had primary interests in conducting research with the heart failure population and ultimately improving outcomes, so we were able to still incorporate this into our new topic.

That is a great question, and the answer may be multifactorial. For many sites, I would assume due to the nature of their EHRs, there may not have been a place to record these outcomes somewhere within their charting systems. It may also be dependent on if there was enough provider buy-in to collect these PRO measures for their patients. This would be an interesting topic to explore further!
