This is the month of October and it is the month of Halloween. Halloween is a celebrated holiday throughout the ages about life, death, costumes, and candy. Personally, I believed that Halloween is a masquerade holiday where people dress up and have fun. These are my thoughts be everyone has their own opinion. That is where I interview a number of both students and faculty about there thoughts about Halloween.
By Dawson, a student, he believe that Halloween is connected to the historical All Hallows Eve. It is about Christians believing in other religions involves spirituality and make a connection to lost loved ones in the past. The it leads to the Halloween we know today in celebration.
Ethan another student here in the university thinks Halloween will be fun as long as the weather warms up by then. He also believes that Halloween is a good time for fellows students have a day to relax and have a good time.
Daris a member of the faculty, who also an international student here on campus. She does not know about Halloween until she came to the United States. She believes that this is a holiday where everyone dresses as there favorite character and to have fun.
Braxton, a faculty member from the campus library and a football player. He does not how Halloween is going to look due to Covid and the rules of no large gatherings so Halloween may be tamer then previous years.
Lindsey, another faculty member of the library loves Halloween. She cheers in celebrations, have fun with her friends, watching scary movies and like Braxton she is also concerned about Covid but she hopes that this holiday is not ruined.
Halloween is coming and I myself am looking forward to watch some scary movies on Halloween night. I hope everyone have a safe and fun Halloween.
Great job getting interviews and a lot of sources, David! If you can take some time to reorganize it and reword it a little, it can be a strong story.
As I mentioned in class, look at the interviews you got and consider common themes. Then, organize the article around the themes instead of around individual interviews.
At the same time, take a look at the sections where you refer to yourself and what the story is about. Take yourself out of the story and tell this fully in the third person. Also, allow the story to just be about Halloween without telling the readers that specifically.
