Drone Technology and It’s Impact

Your initial research idea and your current research idea. If there are changes, tell us how they are different and why. What led you to change your focus?

My initial research  is based on the  impacts of drone technology on the society. One of the brightest influences is the transportation of packages by drones. Kelsey says that drone use is an excellent opportunity to deliver smaller packages in the Dongguan Municipality area of China, with a population of nearly 8 million and the roads congested. Also, according to Johnston, Amazon plans to use drones as another way to speed up the night service. Another valuable use of drones is to take video and photos. The drone movement of the newly developed and gaining power ceases to delight a handful of lovers. Hollywood recently received permission from authorities on shooting drones, turned their backs on their evil enemies, secretly, from close friends. In addition to video and photoshoots, drones have been used for surveillance because the high-end mobile camera is the dream of all law enforcers (Merkert & Bushell 2020). Officials from the USA, Russia and other countries occasionally demanded to ban drones as a threat to airline pilots completely. There have been several regulations and procedures for employees in specialized agencies in the United States and Russia, such as restrictions on high airspeed, high altitude points above international level and staff registration. However, such regulations will not completely cover the problems of flight work. For example, people can use their drones as a toy, and they can avoid Russian laws. They make their drones only for fun. They use it to make a video or to compete in a game called drone racing. Drone Race is a new competitive game with great speed.

What do you want to find out in your research area?

The main reason behind this research is to understand how the drone technology has affected modern society. The ban on drones can therefore lead to people losing their game. That means the entire class of toys will be wiped off the market, which could affect the United States economy. The conclusion is to make the rules very strict and allow for a specific area that enables drones. The Drones receiving the ban prevented the decline in power in the United States and stopped the change in U.S. technology.

Have you already found research related to your idea? If so, what is that research?

Rather than, drones’ technology, I found more research related with this one. For instances, there are technologies which has improved people’s way of life.  Drones create a new job and a human opportunity. This allows people to have more job options. Those studying engineering as drones will improve a lot in the future; they will have an easier time finding a job because they are young and need people. There is a lot of work about drones offering real money. For example, drone pilots start a salary of about fifty dollars an hour, and there is no risk at all. Many other people are against drones because of what they have seen in the news (Cawthorne et al., 2019). Drones may have been engraved on humans as lethal weapons used to kill people making people see drones differently. That is why people around the world are opposed to the use of drones. A big model scares people because it looks like airplanes and no one knows what they will do as they fly in our houses.

Drones and robots have helped the military during the war for decades. Recently, politicians, led by Obama, have significantly increased their support for the drone war, as reported in a news report. Drones are remote-controlled aircraft often used to locate or kill small troops – the latest version, called UCAV, an acronym for combat aircraft, has been the subject of much controversy, as it has injured and killed many foreign nationals. Not only do drones cause us to lose our personality gradually when we spend time in front of an infrared guard, killing thousands of people from far away, but targets are also represented as white pixels just to the guard, resulting in them not being seen as human. Considering the magnitude and consequences of these drone strikes, one has to question their legitimacy. Intentional homicide and personal injury worldwide would not be legal, would they? That’s not right. Shortly after, the United States Congress passed the ‘Authorization of Military Use’, allowing the United States government to carry out counter-terrorism activities and targeted terrorist killings worldwide.

Database I have chosen is  Faulkner’s Advisory for IT studies, Information Science and Technology and EBSCOhost source to find technology and society related articles. And if I needed more supportive article I am planning to use Community College of Rhode Island library database.

  1. A backup idea in case this one doesn’t pan out or is rather easier to research is AI and automation taking over simply jobs like delivery and other smaller labor jobs as well. Another thing I saw wrong with this post is the data which you are recording. Are you measuring the policies of drones and their freedoms connected to them. The toy market and the job market connect to that or the forum of research appears to be military applications of drones.

  2. I think something that could be a very interesting topic to include in your research is the different advancements that need to be made in Drone technology for them to be deployed on an industrial scale. Something that has always been concerning to me about applications such as package delivery is the limited amount of battery life that most drones actually have. How do companies plan on getting around this issue for industrial use?

  3. I think drones are an interesting look at how technology is becoming advanced to the stage of artificial intelligence and would make a great topic.

  4. Drones ae certainly changing the way people do business. Package delivery has been a big push, but it seems that there is still a lot to figure out, especially from a safety standpoint. One area you might research is drone use in the agriculture industry. Drones equipped with special sensors and infrared cameras can be used to analyze crop fields to determine issues. I have watched some demonstration videos showing drone use to determine if certain areas of a field are being over or under watered. The technology is fascinating and really changing the industry.
