Glide Aerials is a team of freelance cinematographers based out of Southern California. They were established in 2012 and specialize in drone, cable cam, Movi and Ronin shots for various clients.
Why I’m Interested
I am interested in this company because I don’t want to be stuck working in an office for the rest of my life. The Glide Aerials team travels all around the globe, as they work for Netflix, Hulu, National Geographic, etc. They offer the exact lifestyle that I’m looking for.
Questions to Help Me Succeed
I’ve already worked with the Glide Aerials team for a short time, but a question I’ve been wanting to ask them is this: “Would you be willing to expand and grow the company more?” The reason I’d want to ask that is because they only have 2 camera operators. I feel like if they had more talented people working for them, they’d bring in more business and the company would make more money.

KWCH 12 started broadcasting in 1953, making them the very first television station in Kansas. They are widely considered the #1 news station in the Wichita-Hutchinson Plus TV market. KWCH 12 has received many prestigious awards throughout it’s inception, including some regional Emmy’s. The regional news station is the market leader in news, weather and community involvement.
Why I’m Interested
I’m interested in working for KWCH 12 because they are a very well known news station in the Wichita area. Working on such a prestigious news team would be something I’d be proud of. KWCH 12 is always very organized and on top of everything going on in the Wichita area, and I appreciate that even though it’s a fairly small market compared to bigger cities.
Questions to Help Me Succeed
I would want to work as a video producer or camera operator, so I believe a good question to ask is “How could we make the story segments more interesting?” It seems like every news story has the same 3 shots cycling through as a reporter talks over them, so I’d like to add a little more production value with my skills.

General Information
The Wichita Wind Surge is the new Double-A Affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. They are a minor league baseball team based out of downtown Wichita, KS. The City of Wichita built ‘Riverfront Stadium’ in 2019, and 2021 was their opening season.
Why I’m Interested
I’m interested in working for the Wind Surge as a video producer for multiple reasons. One reason is that I love baseball and have played the sport for 18 years. I’ve worked on multiple FHSU baseball projects for TMN and I believe I could transfer that experience over to a minor league team in my hometown of Wichita. Working for the Wind Surge would merge both my passions, baseball and producing videos.
Questions to Help Me Succeed
I would love to create content for the Wind Surge on social media to get fans more excited about going to the games. Currently, attendance is decent but could obviously be better, and one way to do that is to connect with people on social media. I could propose the idea of having a video producing team to help create new and original content for the Wind Surge Twitter and Instagram page. The Wind Surge put out decent content, but it could certainly be improved.

Kansas State is one of 3 Division 1 athletic programs in the state of Kansas. K-StateHD.TV is a joint-venture between the university and it’s athletic department to bring quality coverage of K-State sports to its fans. The K-StateHD.TV staff is responsible for producing about 100 live events every year.
Why I’m Interested
The main reason I am interested in working for K-State is because I’ve been a Kansas State fan my entire life, and I feel like being able to cover the games on the broadcasting team or the social media team would be something I’d really love to do. The football games are especially fun to go to, and I’d love to create cool content for the fans to enjoy.
KWCH 12 is a great career choice. I am not the type that would work for a news station but I know the appeal and I have worked for a local school TV station. It’s rather fun but I must admit, it can be stressful.
Glide Aerials sounds like a fun company to work for! I can imagine being involved with movies and tv shows is pretty exciting and intriguing. Since you’re familiar with the company already, if I were you, I would find the right position for me and ask how the interviewer feels you would potentially grow in that position and where they think the company will be in the next year or two. I saw a drone show last summer and it was so cool, I hope you’re able to work with company, I’m rooting for you!
