Hey Jordon,
I thought you did an excellent job describing the three keywords of respect, beneficence, and justice in your presentation. As you have mentioned, respecting a participant’s privacy and safety is an essential factor that must be highly prioritized when conducting research. Researchers must value and respect a participant’s beliefs. Beneficence focuses on the participant’s well-being, which can be considered the individual’s mental health. Justice is the concept of not being prejudiced towards genders, races, and cultures within the study because this idea can create negative consequences in the research.
Stakeholders are the beneficiaries of the research. I thought you did an excellent job explaining the three types of stakeholders. Primary stakeholders are people who are directly affected by a study. Interested stakeholders are not involved in the research but are interested in the results. Finally, unknowing stakeholders are not apparent to the “public eye,” as stated in your presentation.
Overall, I thought you accomplished the idea of simplifying the text to be used as a guide for our classmates, which can help them understand the concepts of questions 22 and 25 better.
Hey Jordon,
good job with the presentation. you did well with explaining both questions that you were tasked with. I was able to understand everything you were talking about for those sections. for the three terms in in question 22 I can’t seem to go anywhere without hearing those words when doing research for some of my classes. overall it was a simple yet great explanation of those topics.
