Since I am a cyber security major, I wanted my initial research to be about cyber security. With that being said cyber security is a broad subject so i narrowed it down to cyber security in business’. I changed my focus to that because I wanted to see the affect of cybersecurity with business’.
The things I wanted to know while doing this research, does it affect productivity with the business’, or are there any limitations with cybersecurity protecting your business. For my secondary question I would think to ask are businesses more vulnerable nowadays or how frequent are businesses getting attacked.
I haven’t finished my research findings yet. But for my databases I’m using Forsyth library (fhsu library), National Vulnerable Database, and google scholar. These databases are great to use for cybersecurity because it provides a lot of useful information.
Hey Josh,
I love that you are doing cybersecurity; I think that is a fantastic area with tons of information. I just have one suggestion maybe try and use JSTOR. I have found that to be a really great place for technology research. These are ideas somewhat similar in their being about the business world. Cannot wait to read your research!
Being able to argue cybersecurity’s usefulness to an employer is very important. There are those who shy away from it so being able to convince others of its usefulness is a good skill to have, I like this research idea.
Josh,
Cybersecurity roles and knowledge of threats are very useful today. I also subscribe to CISA that will email me information regarding the current threats and mitigations. Computer Source has been a really good Database as well.
I know that future employment will rely heavily on knowledge of cyber security so this is a really great topic to research on as well.
Hi Josh,
I find it interesting that we are both writing about Cyber Security. I read in an article that Cyber crime is not going away, it is only getting more intense and we are finding new ways to try and prevent people from getting hacked. About 90% is actually user error.
