My research is on how technology has affected our mental health. I did find some interesting topics overall. I believe these blog posts/assignments will better enhance my knowledge and skills with my research.
Topic:
Has an increase in the use of technology affected the rise of mental illness in the U.S.?
Subject Search:
I went ahead and used Forsyth and clicked the Computer Source. That took me to EBSCOhost for my subject search. For this database I felt that the following were the best for this search: Mental Health AND Technology AND Society. That gave 35 awesome results for my research. The article titled “Quantifying the Impact of Social Influence on the Information Technology Implementation Process by Physicians: A Hierarchical Bayesian Learning Approach” was the first and one of the best for my topic.
Citation Trace:
With my citation search I used Science Direct, I searched “Technology” AND “Depression”. I found an article “Cellphone addiction during the Covid-19 outbreak: How online social anxiety and cyber danger mediate the influence of personality.” It cited over 30 plus sources. The one that stood out to me was “Smartphone Addiction in relation with social anxiety and loneliness among university students in Turkey” from the European Psychiatry. It was linked up to Google Scholar it took me to Cambridge.org where I could only read the basics. I went ahead and cited that one as well.

I like your title for this and your topic! I think it’s an interesting topic especially for today (for both young and older people). I sometimes find that using boolean terms helps make the search smaller and narrow it down.
