The four companies I have chosen are Butler America Aerospace, Trace Systems, IBM, and, STS Technical Services. These are based on my major in cyber-security. I feel these are good companies to investigate for optional jobs in the future. They do have another area or department that you will be working with. To be able to work with computer defense is the top goal. I like looking for companies that are willing to help others succeed and maintain steady growth.

- General Employer Information: Butler America Aerospace services provide Engineering and Design in Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, and even Tool design. Even with aftermarket engineering services as well. The staffing is around 900 engineers that use about seven design centers within the United States. They also have everything in mobile software and web applications. Which is what I am most interested.
- Your interest in the employer because of this research: Butler America Aerospace has great unique opportunities for Engineering Services to create ideas and IT to help maintain and grow the technology. But the aftermath is something I see very few companies help with. I immediately was drawn to this company that would work with you after creating something new. This is very unusual to want to help you succeed and continue for you to move forward. Honestly, it made me feel like I wanted to join the company in the IT field to help keep safe their products. I feel like they are trying to help with technological advances. The one thing I had an issue with was finding more information on how things work. It might help if they had some little videos to play.
- Questions to Help You Succeed: 1.) Can you show me examples of projects I would be working on? 2.) What kind of a budget would I be working with? 3.) What will my training consist of? 4.) Do you see the responsibilities for this role changes in the next 6 months to a year?

General Employer Information: Trace Systems was a company that started out supporting Army Tactical in 2006. Since then, they have spread to all the branches of the military. They are a company that is based on Cyber Security, Communications, Information technology, and Virtualisation, and Cloud Technology. They are mainly based out of Virginia and Tampa, Florida. But since 2020 they have moved out of the USA and into a least 50 countries. They work with VPNs, Satellites, device management.
Your interest in the employer because of this research: I was interested in this company mainly because of the cyber-security side of things. They are defending and protecting networks and different infrastructures by using analysts to get the job done. They use Network Operations Security Centers to monitor the networks. I like how they use the Zero Trust Security as most companies need to. They list everything from top to bottom, my biggest issue is that it feels like I am a recruit reading an Army Infantry brochure. They promise great and rewarding careers which almost sound good to be true. Also, when it comes to contact information, all they have is an email to ask questions to. Nothing face to face or anything, this would be my last choice of the four.
Questions to Help You Succeed: 1.) Who would I report to? 2.) Can you explain to when the company has made some drastic changes? 3.) Are you able to tell me the last team event you did? 4.) Are there opportunities for advancement or professional development?
3.)Employer Contact Information:

- Phone: 914-499-1900
- Contact person: Volshelp@us.ibm.com
- General Employer Information: IBM is a big company that not only produces computer software and hardware. They sell these products as well in various areas of computer mainframes. They have clients in over 175 countries and have an income of around 1.7 billion dollars. They have used artificial intelligence to help detect cyber threats. That is not even half of it, they range from business operations all the way around to consulting services.
- Your interest in the employer because of this research Their cybersecurity division is well mannered. They will teach what you need to know. Their home page consisted of a quiz, interactive videos, and such. They even have games to test you in situations you will be facing. I was more so interested in this company because it seemed well structured to meet the customers as well as employee needs. They offer courses as well as certifications on their systems. As other companies did not have much to offer. Of course, the salary for a Cyber-Security Analyst was about 98,000 dollars a year. Everyone enjoys a good paycheck like that. Also, a 28% growth projected with Cyber-Security. This company does sound like a rewarding company, but they expect the best from their people.
- Questions to Help You Succeed: 1.) Where was the last person who held this job moved to? 2.) What types of skills is the team missing that you are looking to fill with a new hire? 3.) What metrics or goals will my performance be evaluated against? 4.) Why did you come to this company?

They are based all over the USA and strive to provide the best workforce to their customers. Their slogan is Simple, Effective, Affordable. Salaries can range from 45,000 dollars up to 90,000 dollars per year. The company does have an Aviation Group that deals with more aircraft and combines it with the technical side and creates something unique.
- Your interest in the employer because of this research: What caught my eye was this company has a branch in Wichita, Kansas. That is close to where I live, and I would like to still live in Kansas. The companies 3-D printers would be something to enjoy working with day after day. They do seem to want to help a person succeed like some of the other companies above. The company mentions trade jobs as well. I believe that is something that is just as important. You might have options to transfer into if need be. I would like to see more videos explaining what I am applying for. Rather than click and read the type of method.
- Questions to Help You Succeed 1.) What can you tell me more about your new products or plans for growth? 2.) Are you expecting to hire more people in this department in the next year? 3.) What other departments would work closely with this one? 4.) How long have you been with this company?

I’ve always thought that a job at an aerospace company would be interesting and to do IT in that department as well. With computers and technology always changing I think aerospace IT would fit it very well. What would you do in the IT department? Since it seems as though they have multiple locations, would you have to move around? Or would you be able to stay in one place?
I would try to focus more on being a cyber-security analyst if possible. I like the idea of providing safety from hackers trying to get through the systems. To answer your second question where would I prefer to move around. I am trying to stay in Kansas for the first few years after I graduate to pick up experience. Then if the opportunity presents itself move on to another state. I will be honest I might be a little picky when choosing. But if the money is good as well as the benefits then it might aid in me moving. Thanks for the questions.
Louis, I appreciate your formatting because it separates the sections well and makes the information easy to read and skim. You found employer contact information! IBM’s cyber security section sounds interesting. I’m surprised that it has quizzes and an informational section. The company seems out of the public eye, from my perspective. I just imagine very large supercomputers from the 1990’s or something else old.
