EM7. I was glad to get back to our blog topics because I love to write and research. I did find it a little funny that we have the “TEA” acronym. Many people throughout society and in pop culture say, “What’s the tea?” or “Spill the tea!”, when trying to learn about gossip from their friends. In a social work class I took in undergrad, I learned that this expression stemmed from the LGBTQ community. I am ready to spill the “tea” about neurogenesis in my blog. 🙂

  1. Hi Katie
As a spine surgeon, I am fascinated by the topic of neurogenesis but unfortunately we are a long way from finding practical implication for this process, as you will due an extensive literature review on the topic, you will find out case series and some small trials but no real big case control randomized prospective studies or level 1 and 2 evidence that neurogenesis has clinical use until now. however it is an exciting field that has huge potential for years to come.

  2. This is an interesting topic and I am eager to see where you take this for you blog!
I still don’t understand some of the slang terminology that kids have came out with today haha! Can’t wait to hear the “Tea” from Katie on neurogenesis! 🙂

  3. For people working in field related to neurogenesis it has to be an exciting time. It was only a generation ago when this topic wouldn’t have held much merit. Now, scientist are trying to figure out how to apply it.

  4. Hey Katie,
I am excited to see your blog/essay. As I mentioned before, I’m also doing neurogenesis, but I’m taking a much different approach in utilizing it for increasing quality of healthcare by decreasing depression/suicide in healthcare workers. I think it is wonderful that we have Marc to weigh in on the topic as a professional in the field.
