Now What? I completed all 5 Rules of the Assignment.

  1. Hi Brandi, i really liked the way you use the Toulmin method! especially the rebuttal part where you mentioned that “Biomimicry will most likely never be the cheapest upfront cost for any project or invention”. I think you are absolutely right, it is going to be expensive and not very cost effective, hence not very scalable and available for the masses.

  2. My wife use to work for a healthcare IT company (Cerner) and they seemed to always be on the forefront of medical technology (They better have been given their industry!). They had what I would call a portal and you cold log workouts, steps on activity trackers, donate blood, participate in their indoor triathlons (treadmill, rowing machine, stationary bike). As you logged these things you would earn points. You could then redeems the points for gift cards, blender bottles, etc.

Not along the lines of your biomimicry testing but companies are stating to see good health will pay out and it starts at the pre-employment screen like what you will discuss.

  3. Great job! Biomimicry has turned into a favorite topic for students in this class. I look forward to reading your blog!

    1. I have never heard of biomimicry until this class. I reviewed your plectica and biomimicry sounds very interesting. I look forward to reading your blog later this semester. I guess, when I think about it, there is already so much of this going on.

  4. Interesting read. I love how you mentioned the accessibility of biomimicry. For those with lower socioeconomic statuses, this may not be accessible at all due to cost factors as well as location. This observation truly shows you are thinking of all populations!

  5. I look forward to reading more about biomimicry. I have never heard of this before so I am very curious about it now. I also really enjoyed the flow of your map.
