I have been a registered nurse since May 2017 when I graduated from with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baker University. My career began as a bedside registered nurse in a 12-bed medical intensive care unit at a Level II trauma center. Since then, I have worked in an eight-bed combined surgical and medical intensive care unit, and currently as a registered nurse in both the operating room/post-anesthesia care unit in a surgical hospital and in the Emergency Room at a 25-bed rural critical access hospital. I am currently in my final year of the Doctorate of Nursing Practice/Family Nurse Practitioner program at Fort Hays State University. My anticipated graduation date is May 2022. My areas of interest are surgical patients, cardiac pathophysiology, postpartum depression, women’s health, orthopedics, and intensive care unit patient populations.
