1. What are your thoughts on the structure of this class? Have they changed since your last Feedback Trail (FT4)?

• Structure keeps me on my toes and always learning new ways of doing homework. Still a little hesitant on maps.

2. What has been the biggest challenge for you in this class?
   • Probably the different ways of the homework is assigned, I don’t think I have missed something but sometimes I feel I have.
3. Walk me through your thoughts since FT4?
   • The swarm and pletica to me seems to be overwhelming at first look so I try not to look at all of it at once.
4. What were your thoughts on KT6?
   • When it broken down it seems to a little easier to understand.
5. What were your thoughts on EM7?
6. What are your thoughts on your essay/blog topic and the other topics?

• There was a lot of information given on this and more rabbit trails to follow on this assignment. The helpful essay and blog website were useful expect for the one I could open, but you addressed that issue in the video for this one.

7. What are your thoughts on this assignment (FT8)?
   • Like the feedback assignment this helps me go back and think about all I have learned and struggles with.
8. What did you think of the Why, What, How method?
   • Why, What, How method is a great method that is very important in our lives today. It should be something we use in more areas of our live that is for sure.
9. What did you think of the Feedback Loop presentation?
   • Not a fan or I should say it was not something that I found very interesting.
10. Do you plan on writing a blog instead of an essay? If so, why? If not, why not?
    • I plan on writing a blog of an essay. I feel like with a blog I have a little more freedom and it will hopefully be a little less stressful. I’m not a big fan of writing anything so either way it will be a struggle.

Class Structure Questions

11. Do you understand the concept of a complex adaptive syllabus? Please explain what you think it is?
    • Complex syllabus- is more direct is more defined
    • Adaptive Syllabus- is more difficult to achieve.
12. Would a syllabus in the form of a Wiki work for this class? If yes, why? If no, why not?
    • I think Wiki would work for this because of the class structure and kind of free range course.
13. What are your thoughts on the How-To Video’s? What can I do to improve them?
    • I like the how to videos, it has helped me be able to complete my assignments. Maybe shorter videos or not all the information in one. (just brain storming not really sure if I would like that.)

Textbook and Other Resources Questions

14. What are your thoughts on the required textbook?
    • Not a fan of the textbook still think there is enough information in the class itself that book seems to be an afterthought.
15. What would you like to see in a textbook for this class?
    • Less textbook… haha.
16. Does the additional/free material provided help? If so, what has been your favorite so far?
    • Yes I do enjoy the free material provided; I really have like the deconstruction video except for the last one didn’t really enjoy politics videos.
17. What has been your least favorite?
    • Politics videos are a no go for me.

18. What are your thoughts on the FB Group?
    • I like the FB Group wish I got on it more. I kind of gave up on Social media and really now trying to stay away from it.
19. What would you like to see in the FB Group?
    • I like the way it is right now. I don’t plan to much time on it.

Assignment Rules Format

20. What are your thoughts on using Medium to present the assignment rules?
    • I like the concept, just still feeling a little to overwhelm by all the different types of methods being used. I know change it good, but maybe not so much in this short of time.
21. What are the pros and cons of using Medium for this?
    • Con- cost and their party sharing
    • Pros- storytelling instructions.
22. What are your thoughts on using Plectica (like this assignment) to present assignment rules?
    • I wish I had a bigger screen/monitor to able to view a little more of the information.
23. What are the pros and cons of using Plectica for this?
    • Pros- easy to follow and a kind of attention grabbing.
    • Cons- new, and can be overwhelming.
24. What is a better way to present the assignment rules (both in format and mechanism (i.e. Medium, Plectica))?
    • I think sticking to one or the other constancy is Key. Plectica is more I’m leaning it towards because I used it more.

Program Questions

25. What are your thoughts on Plectica?
    • Not really sure about if this something I will keep using or using it in the future education.
26. Is Plectica getting easier to use? If not, why not?
    • Yes and No, I is easier now that I have used it but other methods I have used all my life seem to commonsense.
27. Will you continue to use Plectica after you finish the course?
    • As of right now NO.
28. What are your thoughts on com?
    • I like the resource.
29. What are your thoughts on the Thesis Generator?
    • Thesis Generator is really helpful to me I would like to play around with it more.
30. What are your thoughts on the Function Builder?
    • Little lost on this one it was a good resource but need more time to really sit down and mess around with it.

    • Feedback is good and I think it is helpful for this class.

    • Like it not sure of improvements.

Assignment Questions

33. Did you find any value in reading other student blogs? Did you find value in deconstructing their arguments?
    • I did like reading others blogs, gave incite on mine and somethings to change or go a different direction. I don’t really like deconstructing their arguments, silly I know but I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes.
34. Did my presentation on how to write a blog help?
    • Yes it did, still not a 100% on it but will hopefully get there.

Understanding

35. Do you think the Swarm Learning method helps you understand the concepts better? If yes, why? If not, why not?
    • Yes, I believe it helps understand the concept better, by going step by step. Wish there could be more time spent on a few steps. And more time meaning more than a week.
36. Are you actually learning the concepts? If not, why not?
    • I’m learning new concepts yes, being able to fully understand the concept no.
37. What can I do to improve the course to assist you in learning the concepts better?
    • Spend more time on the concepts. I think in all we have learned this half of the semester could almost be a full semester if not ¾ of the semester and take the last part of the semester to go over it all.
38. What is one question I am not asking, but should ask?
    • How much time did you spend on this assignment this week?

39. What is one thing you absolutely love about this course?
    • Flexibility
40. What is one thing you absolutely hate about this course?
    • So many good resources not enough time to explore dig into them.
41. If you had to tell a student who is interested in taking this course, what is one thing you would tell them?

• Keep your head up and don’t get discouraged it will all be alright.

42. What do you expect to see as this class progresses?

• That I will feel more comfortable in my writing of a blog.

43. What are your thoughts on the class WordPress site? Also, what are the pros and cons for using it?
    • I like the class WordPress site, easy way to funnel things through

• Con- another website another place to give information (wordpress,pletica,FB,FHSU,Blackboard…)
• Pros, it is easy to use and pretty to move about.

 

44. How would you describe Swarm Learning to someone?
    • Like the ugly duckling at first is not easy to look at but eventually it will turn into a easy on the eyes process. haha
45. What is one word that comes to mind when you think of Swarm Learning?
