Esssay on Swarm Learning:

 

Swarm learning offers many possible ways to teach and learn things differently.  It teaches in ways that make you think, do the research and find new ways to access information. This class I found a bit interesting at first, not like any class I have taken before.  This type of learning was brought about by students to  help promote a more engaging class experience.  Most other classes involve reading the material, taking the quiz or exams, and that is it. But Swarm offers a more non traditional type of learning to challenge students to think outside the box.

Well l in some ways without the quiz’s and extensive reading it felt different at first,  and not in a good way.  Over the period of the class I was able to sit back, look at the other students work and slowly begin to understand the process.  And it also challenged me to think outside the box.  I think students often fall into a rut with the same type of classes over and over.  Swarm learning offers students a chance to try something new, while not having too much pressure for deadlines and ” doing it right or wrong”.  This keeps students engaged to show their own personality and way of thinking in a class without getting reprimanded for it.

I do believe this new way of learning will help a lot of students come out of their shell and be able to help them express themselves in new ways.
