2-Day Acrylic Painting Workshop

in conjunction with a major exhibition of works by award-winning animal artist

Carel Pieter Brest van Kempen

March 28 – 29, 2015

 

Workshop Summary:
Students will paint a small acrylic painting (up to 15×20″) of the animal subject of their choice, learning and using Brest van Kempen’s process and detailed technique. Other instruction topics include composition, color theory, and draftsmanship.
 
What’s Included:
• Two full days of intensive instruction and personal guidance
• Lunches (Saturday & Sunday) and other refreshments
• Some workshop art supplies 
• Gallery admission, including Brest van Kempen’s exhibition
• Invitation to a special gallery talk & artist’s reception—Friday, March 27, 7-9pm
  
 
Workshop Fee:
$95 for members of Sternberg Museum OR Hays Arts Council, $125 for non-members
