As soon as you pull up the the trail head you’ll notice the natural wooden benches lining the beginning of the nature trails. Made from a mixture of Osage Orange and Green Ash, these benches were cut by chainsaw and coated to maintain their natural beauty. As you walk along the trail, you’ll notice many other benches scattered across the riparian. Feel free to sit and relax from the walk or use the benches to enjoy the sites and sounds of the trails. Along the trail, benches are chainsaw cut from Osage Orange, the hardest, densest wood in the United States. Considered an exotic hardwood, these benches will last for 50-100 years before decomposing.
