Educator Resources

The Education Department prides itself on fun and exciting educational experiences of its members, students, and visitors on the natural history of the region from millions of years ago to the present time.  Whether your passion is for paleontology, viewing and understanding live animals, or simply wanting to understand natural processes, we have experiences for you.   Join us under the dome in the galleries for a guided tour, outside on the Dr. Howard Reynolds Nature Trail for programs or just to enjoy a brisk walk, or we’ll bring the Museum to you as we hit the road for one of our outreach programs.

Coming by yourself or with the family don’t forget to check out the Discovery Room or the Nature Trails.  The Discovery Room is open during museum hours and offers a blend of live animals, educational activities for youth, and resources for teachers.  The newly created Dr. Howard Reynolds Nature Trails complete with a custom field guide offers the opportunity to experience nature as it currently exists in west-central Kansas.

Special group pricing for events and schools.  Educator resources are available at the museum and also via outreach programs.  Feel free to contact us with your educational questions.
