The last vaccine to be developed was in 2009 which was originally called the Swine Flu vaccine; now referred to as the H1N1 vaccine. The 2010-2011 H1N1 vaccine was combined with the seasonal vaccine so patients no longer have to receive two influenza vaccinations.
