- Oral stage which occurs in infancy
- Anal stage which marks toddlerhood
- Phallic stage occurs in the preschool years
- Latency stage begins during the school-age period
- Genital stage marks adolescence
Nurture Theories were developed by the following:
- Watson: Classic Conditioning
- Skinner: Mechanistic Learning
- Bandura: Social Learning
Humanistic Theorists included:
- Maslow: his theory centers around basic needs (hierarchy) explaining human potential
- Rogers: developed a client-centered approach
