Your plan for implementing a mass casualty incident (MCI’s) is an issue that needs to be addressed in all facilities. It is rather challenging to pull everyone together when a chaos is real. So practice drills are definitely needed.
In addition to training, scenarios are crucial to educate staff members about what would be required of them in all situations and how to address these possible issues. Your ideas for a change in implementation is realistic and well thought out. Nice job!

Great topic! This is definitely a must with everything happening around us, we never know if mass casualities can happen in our own backyard. Where I work, those in ED have been trained specially for these incidents but the rest of the hospital staff must complete annual competency on what is expected of us during a mass casuality. The hospital is not a stroke center but has advanced tool, the robot as an extra help in assessment. This is very cool, maybe in the future it will apply to be a stroke center.
