    Great topic choice. It sounds like you work at a great facility and are working to improve this process. I agree that patient centered bedside reports should happen. It makes sense to include the patient in their care. This also helps improve communication between nurses when they are able to visualize the patient.
    I read a study from 2012 that included a sample of 60 patients. 30 patients were chosen before the change of bedside shift reports, and 30 patients after the change. Although nurses didn’t like the change, statistical data shows improvement in patient satisfaction and being involved in their own care plan.
