    Which hospital do you work at? I did geriatric psych nursing at Memorial Hospital in Abilene for a little while when I was an LPN before I moved. I love psych, it can be challenging but also rewarding and definitely under appreciated. I like that you feel like you are a leader by sharing your wisdom with new nurses. Psychiatric nursing is definitely special in that you can’t always go to a book. The skills that certain patients respond to can only be learned through interactions with those patients because our personalities are so different.
