Hello Beth. I admire you for working critical care before working outpatient pulmonology. I have never been one that loved critical care, but always admire those that do. I have worked acute, outpatient oncology and now outpatient wound care. I look forward to getting to know you in the semester. Good luck.
Great job with your video, Beth! It sounds like you have a lot of great experience in nursing. I always love hearing stories and experiences from critical care nurses. It’s great that you have a lot of autonomy and get to do so much patient education. I think patient education is so crucial when it comes to compliance. Best of luck with this course!
Thank you Rebecca. Education is huge! Unfortunately, there is not enough time during a patient’s hospital stay to get all of the education in. Our hospital has transition nurses that call patients after discharge to follow up with them and make sure they are doing what they need to be doing. I work with patients a lot with compliance with meds, oxygen, cpap etc. My goal is to keep them out of the hospital! Best of luck to you as well!
Thanks for telling us about yourself. Im sure you have gained a lot of insight regarding the impact leadership plays in creating a cohesive team. I look forward to you sharing your perspectives with us over the semester.

Thank you! I admire you for working in wound care! Oncology and wound care are 2 areas of nursing that I could never do. Have a great semester.
