That’s awesome that you get to help with the updating of the documentations system! It seems like you are getting your feet wet in nursing informatics a little bit! I would love to hear how you like it a little further down the road!

Yes, it’s a whole new ball game. The experience is nice to have and lets you appreciate different responsibilites being a nurse. Hopefully all positive reviews down the road!

I think it is awesome that you have stayed at the same hospital and moved from CNA to RN in the ICU. The documentation project that you speak about for the hospital to change to meditech sounds like it would be a lot of work! I have always admired the nurses that work ICU, I think that it takes a lot of courage and strength to work in the ICU for 12 hour shifts all the time. I totally agree with you that we need to make a good example for nursing students, they are our future in nursing and we need to train them well. Great job on your post!

Thanks for the admiration. I also find that travel nurses must hold a lot of courage and strength. I have considered traveling, but never stepped out to do so. So, we both have our strengths in different areas 🙂 Good luck to you!

Wow! It seems like you have worked your way up from a CNA. That is great and I think it will give you great leadership skills as you know what it is like to work at each stage of nursing! Have a great semester!
