What are the Steps in Doing an Efficient Literature Review or Synthesis

In the video presentation, I walk you through the five steps to help yourself when doing a literature review or synthesis. When completing your research, make sure you have a straightforward question, gather keywords, look through the reference section to find related studies, take notes if you think your question may need some adjustment, and make sure to use your thinking skills and ask yourself questions while reading through the information.

  1. Nice job with this presentation Christopher. This is super useful with where we are at right now within the class. The literature review seems like a daunting task but keeping it simple and sticking to the steps will simplify it.

  2. For starters, very good job on this video! I found it to be rather useful for week 11’s blog post doing some deeper searches and refining our results. As Jace put it the review seems like a difficult task but if you break it down step by step much how your presentation was it shouldn’t be too hard to complete.
