This specific source shows that the interest in esports is like that of regular sports such as football. It shows how viewers are drawn to things such as suspense and other competitive factors that shared by both esports and sports. The article also touches on the increase of viewership in esports media every year.
The source is probably my most useful source as it helped me figure out how I want to go about trying to choose my method of gathering information such as using cluster sampling. The information appears reliable as there were appropriate comparisons between the two topics of esports and sports. I wouldn’t consider the information too bias as the article mentions that most of the participants didn’t know too much about esports.
This source was extremely helpful as it has really helped shape where I want to go with my research topic. The article also just in general gives me more hope in my research topic as esports seems to continue to grow. I could use this source in my project by possibly replicating their sampling method in some way but that is still undecided.
