Hi, my name is Natalie Graham.
I am an Information Networking and Telecommunications Major with an emphasis in Web and Mobile Application Development. Due to wanting to work in a career field based on technology and using technology every day, I had a lot of questions on the technology itself.
One specific question that arose that I found would be interesting to dig deeper into is:
“What are the long-term effects of living in a technological world?”
I was born into technology and am used to using it and can adapt well when it comes to new products, etc. I’m curious as to how it affects various users from different generations and/or areas of the world as well as long-term how technology can affect us.
I’m interested to see where this topic leads. As someone who has done remote customer service for a few different companies, I’ve had to learn how to explain things to older customers. Something as simple as “open a new tab” goes beyond what they understand and most didn’t even know that was a thing. To us, that’s just something basic anyone should already know how to do. I’ve heard that technology has lead to a short attention span or instant gratification.
Super-wide topic! I look forward to seeing how you narrow that down.
