The prevalence of the internet is only expected to grow, and researchers should attempt to stay as close to ahead of the curve as possible when it comes to understanding how humans will interact with technological evolutions. Understanding human behaviour is important for educating, regulating, and sustaining the world. By studying participants in both anonymous and non-anonymous forums, the study hopes to observe the change in users’ perceptions of others and their personality traits and behaviour. The study relies on established patterns of behavioural changes observed in humans online.
