Cardiac Implant Cybersecurity: Expert Assistance to Inform Patients

This is my proposal to study of an implementation of a cybersecurity expert to inform patients that will receive pacemakers about the cybersecurity risks pre-operation.

  1. Isaac – while I know several people with heart implants like the devices you discussed in your paper, it didn’t even occur to me that someone would hack someone’s medical device. While as disgusting as that sounds, if there is a way to do it, its likely someone will try, so I am glad there are people out there thinking about ways to solve this problem. Because with technology only getting more advanced as we learn, I am sure this will become a much bigger problem, if solutions aren’t found today.
