Sources, accompanied by annotated bibliography for my later reference:
Siu Cheung Kong. (2019). Partnership among Schools in E-Learning Implementation: Implications on Elements for Sustainable Development. Journal of Educational Technology & Society, 22(1), 28–43.
This article details a study done to interpret the results of partnerships among schools in E-Learning aspects. The study, done in Hong Kong, formed results that show correlations between team sizes and other limiting factors have an impact on the overall results of E-Learning. This proved useful to my research and will likely be utilized.
Hamhuis, E., Glas, C., & Meelissen, M. (2020). Tablet assessment in primary education: Are there performance differences between TIMSS’ paper‐and‐pencil test and tablet test among Dutch grade‐four students? British Journal of Educational Technology, 51(6), 2340–2358. https://doi-org.ezproxy.fhsu.edu/10.1111/bjet.12914
This article shows that there was little difference between tablet based assessment and paper and pencil based assessment in a study. The study tested 532 4th grade Dutch students. This will allow me to point to a lack of mode significance in my research.
Bai, H. (2019). Preparing Teacher Education Students to Integrate Mobile Learning into Elementary Education. TechTrends: Linking Research & Practice to Improve Learning, 63(6), 723–733. https://doi-org.ezproxy.fhsu.edu/10.1007/s11528-019-00424-z
This article pointed to the importance of training up and coming teachers in the use of mobile technology. Training feedback was given and analyzed. This will allow me to point to the importance of training with regard to digital learning. Without the ability to properly utilize technology, teachers and their classrooms will fall behind.
Larkin, K. (2011). You use! I use! We use! Questioning the Orthodoxy of One-to-One Computing in Primary Schools. Journal of Research on Technology in Education, 44(2), 101–120. https://doi-org.ezproxy.fhsu.edu/10.1080/15391523.2011.10782581
This article challenges the idea that 1:1 computing in primary classrooms should be the norm, and suggests that 1:2 is actually better. A study was done that indicates it may be better for collaboration and engagement. This will help me discuss 1:1 technology and the abilities that it brings to the table, but also show that it may not be the best integration practice.
Angeli, C. (2008). Distributed Cognition: A Framework for Understanding the Role of Computers in Classroom Teaching and Learning. Journal of Research on Technology in Education, 40(3), 271–279. https://doi-org.ezproxy.fhsu.edu/10.1080/15391523.2008.10782508
Articles discuss the impact of distributed cognition and the framework that is technology in the classroom. This will allow me to point to ideas of the framework in its entirety.
