This article discusses how fiber to the distribution point is cheaper and more effective in certain places than fiber to the home. This source is very useful in my research because it is directly talking about fiber to the home infrastructure and cost. The information in this source is reliable and is not biased. This source has made me change the way I think about fiber distribution when there is more than one home in a close vicinity.

This article talks about the digital divide and the politics behind it in the United States. It is a useful source and has information about infrastructure bills related to the pandemic. This source is probably the most useful source that I have found so far. The politics that are involved in rural broadband are much more complicated than I thought earlier. This source is helpful to me and my research.

This article discusses the framework for municipal broadband infrastructure. There are many different sectors that oversee municipal broadband and they control what happens to it. This source had some information that was useful for my research, but most of it does not apply in my case. The information is both reliable and objective. The politics in this article relate to some of the politics in other literature that I am examining.

This article talks about how the pandemic made the United States realize how important broadband really is. Many rural communities that were lacking high-speed internet were impacted the hardest by covid-19. This source is useful for my research because it explains why rural america needs fiber-optic capabilities. The information is reliable and it is also objective. This source will help me shape my argument when it comes to rural fiber-optic infrastructure. It also made me change the way I think about the different kinds of broadband.

This article discusses the fundamentals of implementing fiber-optic infrastructure in rural and underserved communities. It talks about how communities need to support the broadband if they want access to it. This source is very useful and it explains many different aspects of requirements needed for broadband infrastructure. The information from this source is reliable and has no bias. Compared to some of the other literature that I have been examining, this article gets straight to the problems when dealing with fiber-optic installation.
Saturation
When conducting my searches, I knew that I needed to have diversity in my research. I used four different databases with different keywords to ensure that my information was different. Through these searches, I found a lot of different information about my topic from multiple different sources. Multiple keywords and search limiters really helped me find the information that is valuable to me.
