Kaye, S., Li, X., Oviedo-Trespalacios, O., & Pooyan Afghari, A. (2022). Getting in the path of the robot: Pedestrians acceptance of crossing roads near fully automated vehicles. Travel, Behaviour & Society, 26, 1-8.
The article provided here talks about pedestrian safety in the wake of fully automated vehicles. The article discusses how safe people feel with the idea of a automated machine being able to drive around them without hitting them. A questionare was released as their test for this. I believe this will be useful for me as it is relatively new and it gives me some great information that I will need while doing my research.

Liu, P., Yang, R., & Xu, Z. (2019). How Safe Is Safe Enough for Self‐Driving Vehicles? Risk Analysis, 39(2), 315-325.
This source focuses more on statistics of risk with self-driving, including whether self-driving vehicles (SDVs) are safer or not over Human-driving vehicles (HDVs). The source also set out to see what other people thought about this, seeing what their expected standards would be for self-driving safety. I predict this source will be great to me because it will help me with what people really want out of self-driving vehicles, and it will show me what public opinion is now versus what it could be later.
