Consent letters are essential when researching because the it introduces the potential participant to your research and gives them the option to either consent to being a participant, or declining participation.
This is a nicely done overview covering a consent form and what it should do. This would come in handy in the future if I ever do research involving individuals. Full transparency about the study and how the results will be used and shared is essential for participants and the researcher to maintain a professional and trusting relationship.
