The following is an annotated bibliography of one of my sources:

Effects of Social Media Overload on Academic Performance: A Stressor-Strain-Outcome Perspective

This study was performed to delve into the negative side effects of social media on university students; particularly how it affects their school work. Upon completion of this research using the stressor-strain-outcome model, they discovered that there were three main stressors that were negatively impacting the school work of university students, the strain that these stressors caused on the subjects and the evidence of the strains caused. The three stressors that were discussed in the article are information overload, communication overload and social media.

This article is useful because it provides evidence to the impact of social media on young people and the different ways the impact is manifested. In educational settings or at least when it comes to academic performance, I believe that we tend to be mindful of our academic performance and how we relate with each other. If the impact of social media is evident here then it is not much of a stretch to believe that our communication can also be affected .

This article proved useful because it identified the stressors that come form consistent social media use. I believe that I can find further evidence that these same stressors can cause a change in our communication with each other. Maybe, I will be able to identify other stressors as well. This article is not exactly in line with the kind of sources I was looking for but it showed what exactly was causing the changes that we may be experiencing through social media.
