My initial topic was going to look at how cybersecurity would be important to your physical health by means of pacemakers and prosthetics. This being that with modern medicine more and more things that are going into and on our bodies is electrical and some are even connected to the internet. My newest thought is to shift more into a wider point of view and just be your wellbeing. I haven’t completely made up my mind but with some recent news in the VR gaming world there could be some security issues that need addressed such as keeping the cameras the headset uses secure from the prying eyes of someone who wants to steel or do harm to you.

What I would like to find out primarily for either of these topics is how much of a threat is present right now and how much could be posed in the near future. Secondarily, I would like to find out if there are any laws or protocols at these companies, either medical or technical, that are insuring consumer safety or if these threats are not big enough yet that loopholes still litter the products.

So far due to me not knowing for sure which topic I want to research I do not have very much information about them other than these problems might exist now but for sure will be problems in the next 20 years.

As far as databases I came across JSTOR, ProQuest, and Forsyth. These three gave me the widest range of results to look across; so to my theory if anything over these two topics exist I will be able to find it from one of these databases.
