My Research Gatherings

My initial question at the start of the semester, that I wanted to do research on was, “What defines too much computer time.” I have not changed my mind and decided to continue to explore this research topic. I think I might decide to do my research strictly on the student group, but that may change. I have not began my research yet, but I have some questions to start off on.

  • What is the average screen time for students?
  • How much of it is focused on school work?
  • How does it shift everyday life?

DATABASES

EBSCOhost – This is currently my favorite database. It has journal articles on just about everything. I did my last research project on this database and it is very user friendly.

GALEONEFILE – This database has a lot of research in computer science in general. It could help my research in learning about more effects.

Inderscience Online – Also known as the International journal of information and computer security. I think there is a lot of unexplored research that could really benefit me.

  1. Interesting topic! I feel as if this would be fun to gather information about. I assume most if n to all of us use computers on a daily basis but what would be defined as too much? As many of us are taking online courses, may work from home, and may spend time on electrics for entertainment purposes. I think you have a great start for research and I think for my research I’ll look into the databases you listed. My only question for your research would be are you going to look at this from a general standpoint or look at a specific age range for example young adults or teens?
