As someone who’s major is basically technology, I am usually pretty in sync with how it works. One technological innovation that I have discovered recently is YouTube. I am aware that this application has been around for a long time now, but I have only really started to use it within the past few years. Looking at videos in the application has now become a part of my social media routine. Every time I go on my phone, I always make rounds with my social media apps and YouTube is now a part of my daily and nightly routine.

I have always known about YouTube but never really went on it every day and I think that’s because there wasn’t any content on their that I was interested in. Now that the podcasts that I listen to post videos of recaps of my favorite tv shows on the platform I use it every day. This in which sparked my interest in it.

At first when I started to use it, I was pretty confused and had some trouble using it but now that I have a footing, I am pretty comfortable with using the application. I am usually a fast learner when it comes to these things but recently, I showed it to my 85-year-old grandfather, and he was able to pick up on it pretty quickly. This application currently may not be groundbreaking in the world of technology, but it definitely has sparked mine and my family member’s interest. I think YouTube is one of the easiest social media platforms to use that currently exist and I am grateful that I now use it regularly.
