I remember the year that Netflix decided to let their subscribers stream their movies and television shows directly from the internet. My dad was the first to show me this new innovation that would soon completely change the way we consume media.

I am currently in the confirmation stage of the adoption process. Simply put, I have firmly finalized my decision to continue using this innovation. Streaming movies and television shows at the ease of your fingertips is truly one of my favorite innovations that I have come across.
I see myself as an early adopter of Netflix and other streaming services. Although I was only seven years old at the time of release, I’ve used this innovation extensively throughout the years.

Uber is an innovation that I have had a much different experience with. Uber has made my life noticeably easier considering that I love to travel, but I wasn’t so accepting of this innovation as I was for streaming services. I would consider myself part of the late majority when it comes to Uber because I was very skeptical of riding in a stranger’s car when it was first offered to the public.
Streaming services I believe will fully consume the media entertainment market in the future. Where movies and TV shows will be rental only or available as a party of a monthly fee, though I believe other forms of media such as video games will still be either subscriptions or one time purchases in large.
Most people watch movies or shows only once or twice so a subscription model is more beneficial to both the average consumer and the service.
Streaming services is one of the innovations that I consider most beneficial of all time. Today, we do not have the chance to sit down and watch a TV show at a particular time every day. Streaming services came to fill a need and give the user the freedom to see their favorite show or movie at any time.
