This will be the first class I have taken that uses a blog site format. It will also be different from my other classes since it is also is the primary way of interacting with other classmates. I believe I will end up enjoying the blog format better than the regular discussion board within BB once I figure it all out. I hope to better my understanding of how to do proper research and come to the correct interpretation of that research.
Technology was transitioning to a more digital future before covid, but it has not only jump-started this process but has leaped forward several years because of the pandemic. I would like to see just how much information technology has jumped ahead due to covid. I would also like to look into how it has created a more digital and convenient working environment and some of the concerns/problems that come along due to this shift happening so quickly.
My suggestion for our team’s name is “Discmatics.”
The pandemic definitely caused a lot of businesses to shift how they implemented their workforce and resources. The move to remote work, video conferencing, and cloud computing resources was vital and caused many to quickly update their technology infrastructure to accommodate it. It will be interesting to see how long and to what extent those trends continue. There’s been some commentary about how employers and managers have a reduced view of their employees’ work and performance and some potentially invasive measures that a few are considering to keep an eye on work from home employees.
