My name is Tiffany Warren; I live in Tennessee. I am a non-traditional student, and my major is Information Networking and Telecommunications with an emphasis in Web Development and Mobile Application and considering Cybersecurity.
I enjoy playing games, and currently, one of my favorites is Pokemon Go. This is more of an interactive game, and I would like to research to see if it helps get more people active. I would like to create a mobile game at some point in the future. I would like it to be interactive and fun in the hopes of getting people moving. I am looking forward to learning more in this class.
My suggestion for our group name is: The RM Group
Fascinating topic! I look forward to seeing where it goes.
Hey Tiffany! I love video games too, but more console-based games. I remember playing Pokemon Go a few years back, and I was obsessed until I could not find any more Pokemon. I lived in a small town, so I could catch all of the Pokemon in one day of playing. It would be amazing to see you create a mobile app that influences being active. The biggest challenge of modern apps involving movement is vehicles. It would be interesting to see your research show if developers promoting health apps that encourage movement are more interested if people are active or the developer just wants the sale. I am stoked to see what you do with this research idea! I also agree with you about our group name being “The RM Group”. Good luck and have a great semester!
Hi Tiffany! I am a more console-based gamer but I think the idea of you wanting to pursue your own mobile game is awesome. I never got into Pokemon as a kid so I never even had Pokemon Go installed on my phone. However, I think the game is a great way to get people moving around and stay active in their lives. I hope you and your dream become the next big thing!
