The final research proposal looks like it will be a daunting task. I know that I will have to carefully choose my topic in order to make sure that it is a topic in which research would produce informative results. I also think I will need to pick a topic that is specific enough that I can give detailed explanations for how I would approach each step of the research process.
If you are still very unsure about your topic idea and what you decide, then try digging into your interests. A research question may just come naturally into a topic you are interested in. For example, I really enjoy blockchain technology, so I just decided to develop a research question that dives into what, why, and how it works. This class does a good job of not locking you into stone and being able to pick a broad topic will eventually get streamlined into a more applicable research question.
