I composed a document of interesting and potential employers that I would be interested in that are based in Oklahoma. I picked Oklahoma, because once I graduate I will be moving down there. All four of these positions are either networking or IT based and relate to my current degree and what I hope to do.

I am also interested in remote IT jobs particularly cyber security. Your questions are very applicable to the different companies you have chosen. These jobs have a lot of variety with one being a bank 9 to 5, a consulting agency that is remote, working for Braum’s setting up networks, and traveling, along with another traveling and remote work job supporting the FAA. These don’t sound like they are entry-level jobs, just wondering how to get your foot in the door or if you have inside people? These jobs sound like they will keep you on your toes and keep you learning new technology.

I really enjoyed that you chose to pick employers that were based in Oklahoma City. I’ve been to the city a few times, and each time I go it gives me a greater appreciation for the city. I also enjoyed reading about each of your four potential employers. One area that caught my eye was when you mentioned part of the reason you were interested in working for Mabrey Bank was the job security and the expanding nature of the field. I can relate as those were the two biggest reasons I chose to go into IT. I graduated high school in 2020, and when everyone was sent home to work, it was the first time I’ve ever heard jobs considered “essential” and others were seen as dispensable. It was a very eye-opening concept to me, and soon I realized that I needed to study something that would give me a job that was going to be around for a while.
