The Final Search

My topic is about artificial intelligence in vehicles. Artificial intelligence is improving each year. Having more vehicle companies adopt autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence is starting to slowly take over in the vehicle space. There are of course pros and cons to this like with anything else.

Annotated Bibliography #1

This article by Martin, Cunneen, Martin, Mullins, and Finbarr Murphy explains the risks and challenges we will have to overcome with the driverless cars that are becoming more and more popular. They also go into the the ethics and law consequences that could potentially happen with autonomous vehicles.

Annotated Bibliography #2

This article by Selmer Bringjord and Atriya Sen explains why it could be possible for a car company to build their own self-driving cars without even hiring computational logician. However, they go into explain that this decision is not a very good one and could lead to concerns later on down the road in the company.

Annotated Bibliography #3

This text talks about the artificial intelligence within farming and how it improves the farmers duties. By implementing the use of smart phones or by actually programming AI. There is a lot that AI can do to improve farmers lives and this is just the beginning.

Annotated Bibliography #4

This article talks about how robotics and cars are connected. Whether that be by fully autonomous vehicles or just self driving cars that still require a driver. It also explains how these AI algorithms will need to continue to receive updates after being released into the world.

Annotated Bibliography #5

This articles goes in depth about the past in robotics and artificial intelligence. Along with that, the author explains it might look in the future. It talks about automated systems and how they can detect things that the human mind normally could not. I think this article will benefit my research because it gives clear positives to artificial intelligence in vehicles and it also gives a little bit of background regarding AI and robotics.

Have you reached Saturation?

During this research I think I have found ample amount of sources  while using these different databases. The couple that I think I will find most useful are Computer Science Collections and Computer Source. Both of the databases have had the most information related to my topic, that I have found. I think I have just about reached saturation. Of course though, there will always be more to know about everyone’s subject no matter how much you research.
