Subject Search and Citation Tracing

Search Topic

My search topic is artificial intelligence, specifically artificial intelligence applications and explainable artificial intelligence.

Subject Search

For my subject search, I chose to search the term “neural network” in the “Computer Science Collection” database. I was led to search this subject by this source:

Bayzidi, H., Talatahari, S., Saraee, M., & Lamarche, C.-P. (2021). Social Network Search for Solving Engineering Optimization Problems. Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience, 2021. https://link.gale.com/apps/doc/A696850154/CDB?u=klnb_fhsuniv&sid=bookmark-CDB&xid=ec357bd6

I only found one result, which is surprising. However, that one result was relevant.

Citation Trace

The source I chose was :

Amparore, Elvio, et al. “To trust or not to trust an explanation: using LEAF to evaluate local linear XAI methods.” PeerJ Computer Science, vol. 7, 16 Apr. 2021, p. e479. Gale OneFile: Computer Science, link.gale.com/apps/doc/A658663601/CDB?u=klnb_fhsuniv&sid=bookmark-CDB&xid=57a7ab8b. Accessed 13 Apr. 2022.

I tried the Computer Science Collection database but did not have success so I turned to Google Scholar. This source cited 64 other sources and I was able to find 10 sources that cited this source. Both the backwards and forwards tracing searches were useful because most of the results dealt with similar topics.
