My research topic is about different cyber attacks such as phishing and to prevent and protect against those attacks. I will explain what different kinds of attacks have been used by attackers and how they evolved over time. For the most part, the searches made finding a useful article hard to come by but there were a few articles that helped immensely in my research.

This article helps in my decision on which type of phishing attacks I need to discuss. In the search field, I put “Ransomware Attacks AND Phishing” and came up with 9 results. I also made this search so that it would show articles published between 2014 and today.

I was having a hard time finding any references and it only showed me the publication information. The publication was made by Eweek which has been publishing articles since 1993. Under the subjects and description for the publisher it showed “Information Technology” and “Helps enterprise IT managers to do their jobs today.”
