I still do not have a narrowed topic, but my general topic will be about web accessibility. As I continue my research, I am leaning toward a topic that looks at whether both the public and private sectors do enough to make their websites accessible.

Search Results: 66 results. This search was not particularly helpful as accessibility/accessible can have two connotations, the first and more common connotation is more about the number of people that have access to something such as data, and the second connotation is more about making the web accessible to people with disabilities. While both are about access, the ways to give that access often differ greatly.

Annotation: Gauging ADA Compliance in the 21st Century Business Internet looks at how well, and how poorly, businesses are complying with the ADA and 1973’s Rehabilitation Act. The study takes six businesses and evaluates their accessibility through different measurements using a simple yes/no answering system to their questions. The study concludes that based on their findings, businesses are still doing a poor job of making their websites accessible to those with disabilities and that further study is necessary.
