 This is a quantitative study of classroom teachers in California, and how they use technology in day to day teaching, which also summarizes the practical uses and effectiveness of classroom technology.  The study was published and reviewed by Contemporary Educational Technology, an internationally peer reviewed journal.  The authors are all university professors, with backgrounds in educational technology.  The results of the study in this article indicate that there is very little hesitation in the classroom when it comes to the use of technology.  Other results in the study show that there is a high level of motivation in both students and teachers for using new technology to aid in the classroom.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence that computer adaptive reading curriculum has on student achievement as compared to traditional material usage.  In most cases, the study found that students improved their scores and reading comprehension when utilizing the computer based software.  The Journal of Literacy and Technology, is an peer reviewed, international online academic journal and the authors are all professors at the University of Central Florida, with backgrounds in learning sciences and educational research.  The study showed many positive effects of student technology and the growth that these programs can have on learning.  This article is a good example of successful integration and a blended curriculum environment for students and faculty.
